So after reading several peoples blogs, I decided to share my exciting life with everyone and follow the trend. I was talking to one of my employees the other day and she was telling me how she writes in a journal every night before bed and I was honestly so impressed! I think writing is a great way of capturing memories and thoughts so this will be my way of doing that!
Christmas is over now and what a wonderful time it was. I enjoyed every minute of it. My family is so important to me and I had a great time spending the last couple of days with them. This was the first year that Craig and I spend Christmas Eve and Christmas together and it was absolutely amazing! It was such a joy to wake up with him and my family Christmas morning. Christmas Eve we always spend in Fowler at the farm where my Mom grew up. I really enjoy going there because it has always been a tradition of ours and I love visiting my Grandma Ads farm on our way home! The drive home was pretty interesting since we had a few inches a snow, my Dad is starting to be a pretty bad driver in his old age and makes me very nervous. We all made it home safely, which is most important. Sleeping arrangements on Christmas Eve have been the topic of discussion for some time now because my Mom is a firm believe that Craig and I will not sleep in the same bed until we are married, I am totally okay with this and respect her wishes. Momma Stephs exact words " Not under this roof you won't be sleeping in the same bed!" The only problem with this is Abby HAS TO sleep in her own bed and refuses to share with Alayna or I. This caused some problems because since we don't live at home anymore there aren't as many bed. Everything worked out fine in the end, and Abby didn't even cry this year which is really surprising since it happens every other year! Everything turned out perfect! Christmas morning my Mom wakes us all up bright and early around 7:30am she turned Christmas music on full blast and hollers for us to get up! We all wear our matching pajama pants and wait on the stairs for her call to let us know we can come down. This is still the way it goes even tho we are 31, 25 and 24 years old. My mom loves tradition and we love her for it! My parents outdo themselves every year for Christmas and always find a way to make it very special for all of us! Christmas is my favorite Holiday and I look forward to it every year. I am very much like my Mom in many ways and love family traditions just like her. If you ask Craig he will tell you, I have many of the same traits! I love Christmas because this time of year pulls my family together and I get to spend so much time with them and shower them with love! I absolutely love my family and the love and support they give me! Family is something that can never be replaced so hug your family and loved ones often!
